The Dust Bowl and the Great Depression Era
A Sixth Grade Pathfinder

The periods in American history called the Great Depression and the Dust Bowl shaped the decade of the 1930's and beyond. This time was influenced by a variety of personalities and events. Students will choose some of the aspects from these years to research and discover their impact on the era. This will provide additional context and enrichment for the study of Out of the Dust by Karen Hesse.
