Meet Mrs. Huba: I am the librarian at Benold Middle School. I have worked for Georgetown Independent School District since 1993. Education: Bachelor of Arts in English Literature, Secondary Education Minor from St. Mary's College, Notre Dame, Indiana, 1971. Master of Science Library Science, Syracuse University, Syracuse, New York, 1972. Master of Theology, St. Mary's University, San Antonio, Texas, 2005 School related activities: Benold National Junior Honor Society: Eighth grade academic achievement service organization. Co-sponsor with Mrs. Bacchus and Ms. Risko. After School Action Program (ASAP): After school program providing tutoring and extra-curricular classes. New programs every semester. (link for craft 12/07 Snowflakes) Science Club Book Club (for middle school). A shared reading opportunity for students and their parents. We meet once a month for pizza and discussion. The mission of Benold Middle School Library is to promote both reading competency and enjoyment, and to provide instruction in information literacy and curricular support. Students will acquire the necessary skills to become competent seekers and users of information.
