Volunteer Background Check

In order to ensure the safety of our students, Georgetown Independent School District requires all volunteers to pass a criminal history background check.

GISD is authorized by state law to obtain criminal history record information on individuals who intend to serve as volunteers for the district (Texas Education Code 22.083).

The volunteer background check form may be completed online.  The Human Resources Department processes the background check information and can answer questions you may have about this process.
