 9-13       Random Acts Of Kindness Week

  11          Veteran's Day - We will have a Veteran's Day Assembly in the Cafeteria in the morning.               

  15          The Official America Recycles Day.

  16         We will celebrate America Recycles Day at Carver today

  19          The Great American Smoke-out Day.  We encourage the students to talk to people they
                know who smoke to encourage them to try and quit that day.  We have stickers that we will
                give the students to let those people wear that day.

  23         School Walk For Diabetes Kick-Off - We will have some guests talk to us about Diabetes.         

  24         Thanksgiving Holiday begins.

  26         Thanksgiving - have a great holiday and spend some quality time together with your family.       

2008-2009 School Year

December

   4           Our School Walk For Diabetes Event here at Carver.  We will
                walk during each grades P.E. class.

  10          Lift off will be in the Cafeteria today and we will have a guest speaker from our Food Services
                talk to us about "Bright Ideas"

  18          Christmas Sing-A-Long - during P.E. Class

February

    3           CiCi’s Pizza night.

   6           National Wear Red Day in recognition of Heart Awareness Month

   6           Elementary School Night at the GHS Boys Basketball game.
                The school with the most students in attendance will get a $100 prize.
                We will put  stickers on the students to remind you on that day.

   9           We will be sending home the JRFH packets for those who want to raise
                money for the American Heart Association16-17    Heart Course will be here as we talk about
                how the heart works and
                how to take care of it.

  21          Marathon Kids Final Mile at Austin’s Burger Stadium, 11:00.

  24          1^st Grade Fine Arts Night 6:30.

  27          Jump Rope For Heart Event here at Carver Elementary during P.E.
