The Bones! We will be once again giving the children the opportunity to learn their bones. This is not a stressful but fun activity. We were very impressed with how many they learned last year. I also hope to have some links on this page to other web sites relating to your bones. Here is Mr. Bones along with the names of all the bones we present to the students. Only the Second Graders will be given all the names. First and Kinder will be given a chance to learn some but not necessarily all unless they want to on their own. Have fun with your child and learn them together.
MR. BONES
Here is a song we sing to help us learn their bones. Practice it with your child and it will help them learn their bones. We will give the students an "I Know My Bones" button when they show us they know them. They can sing us this song and point to the correct bone as they sing. Thanks for helping you child learn their bones.
Mr. Bones
Mr. Bones how do you do? I am fine and how and about you? Mr. Bones you look so fine. All my bones are right in line.
From the skull, maxillae, mandible, clavicle and Scapula. Sternum, and ribs, and vertebrae. Pelvis, femur, patella too. Tibia, fibula just like You.
Mr. Bones you look so fine. All my bones are right in line.
On the sides are the humerus, the radius, and Ulna, See my metacarpals and phalanges move. Slide my metarsals on the floor.
Say Mr. Bones let’s do it once more ‘Cause Mr. Bones the bones I know Give yourself a standing “O”
