Halloween Safety Tips
We have talked in class about the importance of being safe
when participating in Halloween activities. I have included a number of
links that you can go to, to see more information. Below are just a few of
the things we feel parents need to think about on Halloween night so that it is
a fun filled evening and all of our students stay safe.
-
Don't let children eat their candy until the parents have
checked it
-
Don't eat candy that has been open or has a tear in it.
-
Children under 12 should have adult supervision.
-
Children over 12 should stay together in groups and never
be alone.
-
If you wear dark costumes please have something that will
reflect light, such as tape or other clothing that will shine in the dark.
-
Don't wear masks that limit your vision. Put it on
when going to a house but not as you walk around.
-
Cross the street at cross walks or stop signs, and don't
run between cars. Many children are hit by cars on this night.
-
Have a flashlight and be careful when going up to
people's houses, use the sidewalk.
-
Find a Fall Festival type activity to go to. They
have a lot of games, sometimes food and are a lot of fun.
-
Parents when driving BE CAREFUL!!
Many children are hit by cars on this night.
