P.E. Safety Rules
We are going to start the year with these 3 simple rules. These rules are directed toward each student being responsible for keeping themselves under control at all times. No Touch: This means not touching another student for any reason unless it is part of our activity. It also means not to touch equipment until it is time to begin the activity. No Falls: This means keeping yourself under control at ALL TIMES. Students should not move at speeds during our class that keep them from being able to control falling down. We start the year with very slow activities and progress to faster movements later in the year. When a student falls he or she can injure themselves or another student. This also means no sliding into a sitting position, whether it is when joining a line that is sitting or stopping during a game. No Out-Of-Bounds: This means that we want the students to learn about boundaries and how to stay inside of them. We will be stressing this all year especially for safety reasons. Please talk with your child about these rules because we feel that when teachers and parents work together for the good of the students we can help them accomplish great things. Thanks
