In addition to the school supply list, some grades will require an additional fee for assignment books or other supplies: 1st grade $2.00 for take home folder, 2nd grade $5.00 for dictionary and assignment book, Grades 3-5 $3.00 for assignment book. You may pay this at Open House or on the first day of school to your child's teacher. Thank you!
The Georgetown High School Annex and Richarte High School building were evacuated at approximately 8:10 this morning due to a smell emanating from the cafeteria area. They gave the building the all-clear and students began returning to the building by 8:50 AM.
Taking the challenge for a great cause to the next level, Brent and his leadership team were drenched with over 650 gallons of ice water delivered by a front loader on the site of GISD’s newest elementary school.

The Rotary Club of Georgetown is once again sponsoring the Early Act First Knight Program at Georgetown ISD. This year, Ford Elementary School will join Mitchell Elementary and Williams Elementary as participants in this great nine-month character education program.
At approximately 10:50 AM, McCoy Elementary School was given the all-clear by the Georgetown Fire Department and Atmos Energy. The gas leak across the street was capped and students and staff were able to return to the building. Lunches are beginning and the school will dismiss at their normal time.
As of Wednesday, August 27th, Georgetown ISD district enrollment was up 236 students in comparison to last year’s numbers. Total student enrollment at all schools was 10,582.
Georgetown ISD has announced its policy today for providing free and reduced-price meals for children served under the attached current income eligibility guidelines. Each school/site or the central office has a copy of the policy, which may be reviewed by anyone on request.
Flyers will not be distributed at campuses from outside organizations during the first two weeks of the new school year.
Georgetown ISD’s newest elementary school is beginning to take shape at the corner of Teravista Crossing and Scenic Lake Drive.
