Mrs. Elizabeth Foss has a
Bachelor of Science from Minnesota State University, and a Master in
Education - Curriculum and Instruction from Texas Wesleyan
University.
She
holds Certifications in : Elementary, Secondary English, Secondary
Language Arts, Special Education, and Principal Certification.
Mrs. Foss has spent her entire GISD career at Cooper
Elementary. In 1999, she was employed as an instructional specialist
and became the Assistant Principal in 2000. She has been the
Principal at Cooper since 2001. Her other experience includes 15
years in education, teaching in Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Texas.
She taught English and Journalism in high school and middle school, as
well as special education and regular education at the elementary level.
She moved to Texas in 1993, and taught at Pasemann Elementary in Taylor
before coming to GISD in 1999.
Mrs. Foss and her husband
Gordon live in Round Rock, which has been their home since moving to Texas
from Connecticut in 1993. Together, they have four very active
children: Helle, 20: Berit, 19: Kari,18; and John Ole, 13. They are
very involved in church, school, band, and Boy Scouts. Mrs. Foss
enjoys being outdoors, reading, socializing with friends, and cheering on
her kids in their many activities. Her favorite enjoyment is finding
quiet time with her husband.
