How do I find out what classes are being offered?
Log into the staff development system.  Select the link for Class Listing to view a list of all open classes, or a list by type (Technology, Language Arts, etc.)  Select the link for Class Calendar to view all open classes on a monthly calendar.

How do I register for classes?
You must use the online registration system to register for classes.  Once you log in, use the Class Listing or Class Calendar to find the class you want.  Then click on the title.  You'll see the class details and a button that will allow you to add the class to your schedule.

What is my password?
The Curriculum office can assist you with finding your user password.  Contact them at 943-5000 ext. 6038 for help.  Staff development email usually contains the password you'll need to use to login.

How do I know I am registered for a class?
Whenever you add a class, you will receive a confirmation page with all your class information.    You can also check back after you have registered to see all your classes by choosing the MY CLASS SCHEDULE link.  Please print your class schedule as your record of registration.

How do I drop a class?
If you need to drop a class, you may do so by clicking on the trash can next to the class in your schedule.

How do I know if a class is full?
On the class detail screen, you can see the class limit and the number registered.  Once a class is full, it will no longer show up in the registration window and you cannot add it to your schedule.  Wait lists are no longer allowed.

Will food be provided?
As a general rule, food is not provided at GISD workshops.  You may check with the contact person listed in the catalog, or review the workshop descriptions.  Soft drinks and snack machines are accessible in the campus lounges.

Do I need to bring anything with me?
If there are any special materials you need to bring with you to the workshop, you will see those materials listed in the course descriptions.  Please bring pen and paper to the workshops for which you are registered.

How do I get to the workshop?
Each workshop's location is listed in the description.  For district workshop locations, use the District Map (linked from the home page).

How do I find out more details about a workshop?
If the description in the course listing does not answer all your questions,contact the presenter or the contact person for that class.

What type of credit will I receive for the workshops?
You will receive the number of credit hours listed for a course if you attend the entire course.  If the course is marked as a G/T or Special Ed credit course, those hours will count towards your G/T or Special Ed requirements for professional development.

Can I see all the classes for which I've received credit?
Yes.  Choose My Credits to see your course listing from courses completed.  If a recently attended course is not appearing, please allow time for the Curriculum office to record your attendance.  All credits should appear by the end of the summer, and you can print additional copies of your class certificates here.
