Business Office :: Building Use Information


Organizations that use District facilities will be designated as either Group 1 or Group 2 organizations. This will decide whether or not these organizations will be charged for certain expenses related to using GISD facilities.

  • Group 1 is school-sponsored groups, school related groups (PTA, booster clubs, etc), youth oriented groups (Little League, Boy Scouts, etc), service clubs (Lion's Club, Rotary, etc), homeowners associations, and organized cultural and recreational groups.

  • Group 2 is all other types of organizations.

The organization using District facilities will then be charged according to the following chart, based on when they use the facilities:

Custodial fees: On holidays, weekends, and outside regular custodial hours, all groups must pay a $24/hr. custodial fee in addition to the fees above.  

Kitchen fees:  If a cafeteria kitchen is used, a $24/hr. fee will be charged for kitchen staff to be present (TEA requirement).

Athletic facilities:  Teams of GISD students using GISD facilities will provide their own equipment and have no charge.  Teams which pay coaches or other personnel follow the above scale.  Camps which serve GISD students only will be charged 20% of net, placed in a special fund for that sport.  Camps or tournaments not specific to GISD students will follow the above scale.  Use of any field for non-athletics purposes without lights is $50/day, or with lights is $100/hour.
