Congratulations Forbes!

The Project Tomorrow Speak Up Survey is an online survey that allows students, teachers, school leaders, and parents to have a voice in technology decisions at the state and national level and to tell the education community about their views on technology.

Participation in the survey is optional.

When the U.S. Department of Education created the 2004 National Education Technology Plan, they based some of their recommendations on the results of the Speak Up 2003 survey.  The Texas Education Agency also relies heavily on Speak Up survey results when developing and updating the Texas Long-Range Plan for Technology.

The survey is open
through Friday, December 18, 2009.  It takes about 10-15 minutes.

How to Take the Survey:

- Go to http://www.speakup4schools.org/speakup2009/

- Click on the appropriate survey: StudentsParents, Padres de familia, or Teachers & Administrators

- Select Texas from the State menu

- Enter any part of our school's name.

- Charles A Forbes Middle School

- Click the Find School button

- Select your school from the list

- Choose the survey that best fits your situation:

- Students will choose:

- Grades 6-8

- Parents and Padres de familia have only one survey

- Teachers and Administrators will identify whether they are a teacher or administrator, and they each have only one survey

- After logging into the survey, librarians should be sure to choose the "Librarian or Media Coordinator" job category, as the Texas Library Association is working with Project Tomorrow to create a Librarian category next year.

- Enter the secret word: eagles

- Click the Login button

The results of the survey will be available in Spring 2010.  The results will be online at
