Projects Assigned for Core Square - Square Roots Project Due Date:
7th Grade Math Discovering a Perfect Square 1st Nine Weeks Project
Objective: To create a Perfect Square and find the Square Root of that Perfect Square using the model of a Perfect Square.
Requirements for the Project:
1. You will draw for your Perfect Square. You will then creatively make a model of your perfect square. 2. You will also make a model of the Square Root of that Perfect Square. 3. The minimum size of the project is 8.5” x 11” and the maximum size is 14” x 22” (half a poster board) 4. The project is to be done on construction paper or poster board. 5. A minimum of two colors must be used. 6. Write your name, period and Perfect Square drawn on the back of your project. Then attach the grading sheet to your model. 7. Projects are due on _____________. Late projects will not be accepted!
Evaluation: This project will count as one test grade for the first nine week grading period. Points will be based on: 1. Meeting all the requirements listed above 2. Appearance and neatness 3. Originality and creativity
