Apartheid in Africa

By: Hannah FaggardCROWD PICTURE

My issue is about Apartheid in Africa.

What was it?

Apartheid is a word meaning "Apartness" or separation. Apartheid was the separation of blacks and whites in Africa.

How was it important?

Apartheid was important because it had a terrible affect on the black people. Other countries also got involved in the Apartheid issue by trying to help the black people.

How was it a problem?

Many people spoke out against apartheid and died for it. Other countries threatened to stop trade as apartheid became more and more of a problem.

How was the government involved?

South African police wanted to enforce government policy as government involvement.

The global reaction was countries threatening to shut down trade but that was difficult since because of what the trade was.

How would I attempt to fix the problem?

A way to fix the problem would be to have been to have a white protest since racists tend to ignore black protests.
