11/9 We enter the Greek era of Art . Mrs Griffith will be dresssed a s a Greek Goddess and she will share notes for us to add to our Art Timelines. (grade) We will view a short video of the Greek Art . We compare the Art of the Cave peoples, Egyptains, Asians, and the Greeks by using thinking maps. We will begin to research Greek mythology and choose a character to create a Greek Mask from Metal using a technique called Repousse. To create a mask we need to know some facts about face proportions. We will be taking notes on the face using the law of halves. Then we will exaggerate features to accomodate the attributes of our chosen character in a pencil drawing.
