Total Lunar Eclipse, Wednesday, February 20th:

The lunar eclipse will begin at 7:43pm with the total eclipse beginning at 9:01pm. You don't need any special equipment to watch this lunar light show. But, Southwestern's Fountainwood Observatory will be open from 7-11pm with astronomers on hand to guide you through the events.

Extra Credit: Draw out how a lunar eclipse happens (Where are the sun, earth and moon?). Explain why the moon doesn't go dark during the eclipse and why it changes the color it does. (Due by Friday, 2/22/08)
