Personal Information

I just moved down here to the Austin area last summer and am still loving it!  I've been married just over a year now and live in North Austin with my Wife, Amanda, and our dog Kova.  I'm a laid back, fun-loving kind of guy, but I'm serious about choir (and about serious fun in choir - there can be both)!   I'm looking forward to a great year!

Education & Teaching Background

  • Received my Undergraduate Degree in Choral Music Education from the University of North Texas, College of Music in Denton, Texas.

  • Second year teaching, after substitute teaching for a semester

  • Second year  at Forbes Middle School.

Philosophy of Music Education

I believe that Music changes lives.  It changed my life when I got involved in choir my junior year of High School.  It has become my dream to use music to change the lives of others.  That is why I'm in education.  I believe that music is one of the few things in this world that can touch a person's soul.  I hope that my love of music will be passed on to the children that I teach and that it will effect a change in each life.

"We are the Music Makers

and

We are the Dreamers of the Dreams..."
