Supplies for 6^th grade band

1. Band notebook containing these items:
   • Black hardcover 3 ring binder 1 inch thick
   • 20-25 Clear plastic page protectors
   • Pencil pouch
   • 10-12 mechanical pencils
   • 5 dividers (one set)
   • Notebook paper
   • *Optional Vis-à-vis
2. Books:   Woodwinds and Brass-Essential Elements 2000, and Winning Rhythms/ Percussion will purchase Simple Steps to to Successful Beginner Percussion Playing
3. Metronome/Tuner
4. Tuner with optional pick-up microphone *available at music stores or woodwindbrasswind.com
5. Woodwind and Brass- small mirror
6. Wire music stand for home practice
7. Percussion only- Beginner Kit, available at music stores
8. Woodwinds only- must have 4 quality reeds at ALL times
9. Brass only- must have all oils and lubrications at ALL times

Additional supplies by instrument

1.      Flute- cleaning cloth

2.      Oboe- Silk swab with tail, silver polishing cloth, cork grease, at least 3 reeds from Mrs. Douglas, reed case

3.      Clarinet- silk swab with tail, silver polishing cloth, cork grease, 1 box Vandoren reeds strength 2 ½, Vandoren reed guard

4.      Bassoon- silk swab, paraffin wax, pipe cleaners, cork grease, 3 reeds medium strength purchase from school, reed case

5.      Saxes- cork grease, mouthpiece brush, silk swab, 1 box Vandoren reeds strength 2 ½ , and Vandoren reed guard

6.      French Horn- “Blue Juice” or rotary oil, Selmer tuning slide grease (pink liquid), cleaning cloth, cleaning snake, Holton Farkas MC mouthpiece, mouthpiece brush

7.   Trumpet- “Blue Juice” or Al Cass, Selmer tuning slide grease (pink liquid), cleaning cloth, cleaning snake, Bach 7C mouthpiece, mouthpiece brush

8.      Trombone- Small spray bottle for water, Trombotine or Super Slick, Rotary oil for trigger trombones, Schilke 51 mouthpiece, mouthpiece brush

9.      Euphonium- “Blue Juice” or Al Cass valve oil, Selmer tuning slide grease (pink liquid), cleaning cloth, cleaning snake, Schilke 51 mouthpiece, mouthpiece brush

10.  Tuba- “Blue Juice” or Al Cass valve oil, Selmer tuning slide grease (pink liquid), cleaning cloth, Bach 24 AW mouthpiece, mouthpiece brush

Supplies for 7^th and 8^th grade band

7. Percussion only- stick bag and other necessities determined by Mr Leach
8. Woodwinds only- must have 4 quality reeds at ALL times
9. Brass only- must have all oils and lubrications at ALL times

Honor Band students need to have equipment for recording assignments
