- My topic is Human Rights and Human rights violation in Africa.
- Some keywords I used to help me research were: Africa, Human, violation,
and rights.
What does Human Rights and Human Rights violation mean? What is the
definition or description of Human Rights and Human Rights violation?
- Human Rights are the rights that each person are entitled to because
they're a human being.
- Human rights violation means that you are taken away the rights a person
has when he/she is born.
- Lots of Africans are being denied those rights.
- Like you should have the right to medical treatment and some hospitals
are refusing to give treatment to people with aids.
- About 30,000 children die each year from starvation.
Why are Human Rights important in Africa?
- Human Rights are important in Africa because people there are dying
because lack of food and basic needs, or cruel beatings or torture.
- There is no shelter or food for the poor.
- Do you know that most farm families try to live off $300 dollars a year.
- Do you know in the prisons beatings are a daily thing.
- Lots of them are getting cigarette burns, beatings and even hanging.
- The government are having trouble enforcing the law because they're
corrupt or lack of funding.
What are some Human Rights violations in Africa?
- One of the violations are genocide, Like the warring tribes the Tusti
and Hutu.
- Another one is slavery.
- Also there are mass disappearances most common cause of disappearance is
kidnapping.
- Also there is lots of torture and abuse happening.
- They also denied they people freedom for speech and freedom of the
press.
How does Human right violation affect people in Africa?
- Most children are often sold into slavery by there parents because they
don't have money.
- Women don't have many rights they are often treated as property rather
than a human being.
- Warring tribes often try to kill each other on sight.
- Many civilians are killed because of warring tribes.
- People who have hiv or aids are often treated worse than everybody else.
What does the rest for the world think about Human rights violation? What is
the global reaction?
- The world has been trying to protect Human Rights violation for a long
time.
- They even made the Humans Rights Watch.
- That is a group and an agreement that try to protect the Human Rights of
everyone on earth.
- The United Nations joined together to stop Human Rights violation to.
- There are many churches and other organizations that collect money to
help Africans.
What are some types of Human rights violation and where does it happen?
- Some areas of concern are Africa, the Americas, Asia, Europe, Central
Asia.
- Others are The Middle East and North Africa have women rights and
children rights violation.
- Asia is fighting child labor right now.
- The labor is mainly gathering crops right now.
- President Saparmurat Niyazov said he would put a end to child labor.
What is my personal opinion of Human Rights and Human rights violation? How
do I react?
- I think it is horrible.
- Lots of women are mistreated and are treated like property.
- Men can have many wife's but women cant have many husbands.
- People with aids don't get good care or medical treatment.
- Tusti and Hutus are constantly killing each other and lots of civilians
are dying because of it.
- All this stuff makes me mad.
- I wish this would stop.
Staggering Statistics!
- 9000 Africans die each day from aids.
- 30,000 children die from starvation every month.
- The genocide Tusti by the hutu in Rwanda.
- During the fight women were raped.
- Over half a billion people in Africa live on less than a dollar a day.
- 5 million Africans die each year of poverty and preventable diseases.
