- My research topic is: Endangered African Gorillas
- Some keywords I used to help my research are: endangered species, Africa,
gorillas.
What is the description of a gorilla?
- "A gorilla looks fierce. It has a shiny black face, large canine teeth,
and a thick ridge of bone above its eyes."
- "Actually, a gorilla is not as fierce as it looks. It will not hurt a
human unless it is threatened or attacked."
Where in Africa does my animal come from? Where do they live?
- "Thousands of mountain gorillas live in the cool upland forests of
east-central Africa."
- African Mountain Gorillas live in the Virunga Mountains.
Why is the gorilla endangered?
- Gorillas are endangered species due to habitat loss and human activities
such as hunting.
What is being done to correct how it is endangered?
- Ecotourism involving visits by travelers to see gorillas in their natural
habitat has contributed to the conservation of the Mountain Gorilla.
What is my personal opinion of the gorilla?
- The Gorilla is a gentile, intelligent and interesting species.
- Its misunderstood by many people.
- I find it interesting that they have thumbs on both hands and feet.
How do I react to the gorilla being endangered?
- I find it a tragedy that such a gentle race is endangered.
- If this species continues to decrease in population, their kind could die
out.
