- My research topic is: Endangered African Elephants
- Some keywords I used to help my research are: Endangered Elephants In
Africa.
What is a description of an elephant?
- They are the largest animals that live on land.
- They are extremely strong and highly intelligent.
Where does my animal come from? Where do they live?
- The African elephant lives in central Africa.
- They do not live in
deserts or on Madagascar.
- Elephants are more of a grassy plains kind of
animal.
- This is also called the Savannah.
Why is the elephant endangered?
- Elephants are endangered because poachers are hunting and killing the
elephants for the ivory trade.
- The elephant's habitats is also being
destroyed.
What is being done to correct how it is endangered?
- Culling is practiced in some reserves to prevent habitat destruction.
- A
9 year ban was put in place to ban the ivory trade to preserve the ivory and the elephants.
- The ivory trade is now limited to help the elephant
population to grow.
What is my personal opinion of the elephant?
- I like elephants because they are strong, intelligent and they're the
largest land animals.
How do I react to the elephant being endangered?
- I think it's cruel to hunt down a species of animal until they are endangered or
extinct.
- If I saw someone hunting and killing elephants I would turn them
into the police.
- It's illegal to hunt an endangered species.
