What is my research topic? What are some research keywords?

• My research topic is: Deforestation.
• Some keywords I used to help my research are: rainforest ,Africa, and conservation.

What does Deforestation mean? What is a description of Deforestation?

• Deforestation is the action or process of clearing of forests.
• The state of having been cleared of forests.
• Deforestation is like tearing down rainforests.
• They are constantly doing it.
• Also, they are making it look like a desert not a rainforest.   

Why is Deforestation important in Africa?

• It doesn't help the people it hurts them.
• Cambodia is one of the worlds poorest countries.
• Its economy has historically been based on agriculture.
• This is killing animals and plants.
• Some people lose EVERYTHING they had.

Why is Deforestation a problem or issue in Africa?

• The rainforest are being cut down in Africa.
• In Madagascar animals are dying for example The Aye-Ayes.
• African mahogany is being cut down.
• They are using this wood for furniture and boat building.
• This also kills the animals.

 How Deforestation affect the people who live in Africa?

• Logging, fires, and land clearing for agriculture and cattle-grazing.
• 90% of West Africans rainforests have disappeared.
• Among the consequences of Deforestation is the loss of living space.
• Rainforests help generate rainfall in drought.
• 70% of the Earths land animals and plants reside in Rainforests.

What does the rest of the world (NOT AFRICANS) think about Deforestation? what is the global reaction to Deforestation?

• The USAID and the EEC are trying to protect the Congo.
• Also, the Unesco/UNDP are helping.
• IUCN is developing a project.
• Deforestation is causing a BIG hole in the ozone layer.
• Carbon is released into the atmosphere causing the hole.

What can be done to help the problem of Deforestation? What is being done to correct Deforestation?

• Using a computable general equilibrium model the paper analyzes the Brazils problem.
• People ar4e using less paper to do stuff.
• People are also recycling paper, reusing paper and reducing paper.
• People are using computers more instead of paper.
• Stop using so much things from trees and it will help Deforestation and other bad things happening to trees and in the air.

What is my personal opinion of Deforestation? How do I react and feel about Deforestation?

• I do not like Deforestation.
• I think it is not fair to the Africans.
• Also, the animals are getting there homes cut down.
• I feel like Africans are being treated unfairly.
• If I was an African I would feel like my stuff was being token away from me.
