What does Hunger and Starvation mean? What is the definition or description of Hunger and Starvation.?

• Hunger and Starvation mean there is little food to eat.
• The people start to starve because of shortage of food.
• The word hunger also means lack of food.
• The description is people become weak because of hunger.
• It also means there is no meat or fruit to eat which causes hunger.

Why is hunger important?

• Hunger is important because everybody needs food to survive.
• You need it to keep you alive and it gives you energy.
• If your hungry you want to eat but if you don't it can lead to death.
• Also it causes you to be inactive and lazy.
• Also if you don't eat you can become skinny.
• Hunger lets you know when you should  feed yourself.

Why is hunger a problem or issue in Africa?

• Hunger is a problem because more Africans are dying each day.
• Also the population is decreasing so much that there wont be many Africans in a few years.
• Their people are becoming less healthy.
• So not many jobs are being done. People will die because lack of food.
• Also a drought  can cause death it kills the animals, and also killing the Africans because there is no meat.
• Famine also causes hunger it means a long term shortage of food.

How does hunger affect the people in Africa?

• It affects them because their people will keep dying.
• It also affects them badly it really hurts the population.
• Because they don't have much to eat.
• Sometimes a drought can also cause hunger it kills the animals.
• Also it can make the people tired and slow because they are hungry.
• Since there is slow workers the Africans must make big families to work in the fields.

What does the rest of the world [ not including Africa] think about hunger and starvation? What is the global reaction to hunger and starvation?

• The rest of the world is trying to prevent hunger in Africa.
• By planting a lot of fruit trees.
• The countries are also donating money to Africa.
• Some Americans are going to Africa and building houses.
• We help by planting trees for the cattle.

What can be done to help the problem of hunger? What is being done to correct hunger?

• We can plant trees.
• We can also plant grass for the animals.
• They need shelter, so we could build houses.
• Right now we are giving donations to Africans.
• We are sending boxes of food inside so the can eat, also they need fresh water.

What is my personal opinion of hunger? How do I react and feel about hunger?

• My opinion of hunger is that it is really bad.
• I wish we could prevent hunger in Africa.
• I hope one day nobody will ever be hungry again.
• Also I wish I could help prevent hunger in Africa.
• I feel bad knowing there is people starving in Africa.
