What is my research topic? What are some research keywords I used?

• My research topic is Slave Trade in Africa.
• Some keywords I used to help me are: African Slave Trade, Africa, Slave, Trade, Triangle, 13 colonies, Europe, and Slavery.

What does Slave Trade mean? What is the definition or description of Slave Trade?

• Slave Trade means that a whole bunch of people got together and traded slaves for money.
• All of the slaves had to be crammed into a ship.
• They then had to be shipped to another country.
• Once arrived in the Americas, most Africans were sold several times before reaching their final destination, often hundreds of miles away.
• Some slaves may not have been sold , therefore they would go to another country.
• The definition of Slave Trade is: Traffic; specif., the former transportation of black people from Africa to America for sale.

Why is Slave Trade important in Africa?

• Slave Trade is important in Africa because most of it took place in Africa.
• From Africa the ship went to the 13 colonies.
• From the 13 colonies the ship went to Europe.
• Then it went back to Africa.
• It is now called the triangular Slave Trade.

Why is Slave Trade a problem or issue in Africa?

• No one wanted slavery to end.
• Everyone still wanted a slave even when slave trade was abolished.
• They still wanted slavery to go on so that they could have some one to do all of their work for them.
• They don't want to do their own work, they'd rather have some one do it for them.
• Some families who had family members who were working as a slave were mad because they were taken away from their family but they were happy when they got home.

How does Slave Trade effect the people who live in Africa?

• Because some people in Africa still want a slave but their not aloud to have one anymore.
• They might not be so happy that slavery was abolished.
• Some people could be really glad that slavery was abolished.
• The slaves must be very happy.
• Their family must be happy too.

What  Does the rest of the world (not including Africa) think about Slave Trade? What is the global reaction to Slave Trade?

• I think that they want it to go on because they still might want a slave.
• A lot of people are happy that it is  abolished now.
• The slaves go home to they family and they are happy again.
• There could be someone who still has a slave but no body knows about it.
• They could have kept the slave and told everyone that he/she died.

What can be done to help the problem of Slave Trade? What is being done to correct Slave Trade?

• In 1785, Thomas Clarkson, read about the evils of slavery and wrote a prize winning essay to stop Slave Trade.
• He titled it, "Is it Lawful to make of others against their will?"
• He also said he would do anything to stop Slave Trade.
• He went to some taverns and seen what they do.
• He did not like it at all.

What is my personal opinion of Slave Trade? How do I react and feel about Slave Trade?

• I really don't like Slave Trade at all because it isn't fair that some people are taken away from their family to work for someone else.
• And I don't think their family is very happy either.
• But now that it is abolished they can be reunited once more.
• They can celebrate and be free.
• They wouldn't have anyone whipping them and make them do work.
