What is my research topic? What are some research keywords I used?

• My research topic is the African tortoise.
• Some keywords that helped me were tortoise, endangered species, and African tortoise.

What is the description of the tortoise?

• They have clubbed shaped feet with reduced toes to walk on land. 
• Almost all have high-domed shells.
• The limbs are covered with hard scales.

Where in Africa does my animal come from? Where do they live?

• There found in game parks or reserves of the  Southwestern Renosterveld, a coastal region north of Cape Town.

Why is the tortoise endangered?

• They were once being killed for there meat and shells.
•  Sometimes they were hunted along time ago for fun.
• There endangered as a result of man's demand for agricultural land for wheat and vines.
• People are eating there eggs.
• Farms are being built were they live.

How does the tortoise effect the people who live in Africa?

• They use there eggs for food.
• There shells are used for decoration.

What does the rest of the world (not Africa) think about endangered species? What is the global reaction to endangered species?

• Some country's use animals for recourses and there decreasing.
• The world needs some of those animals for work.
• Other animals may need the animal to stay alive.

What can be done to help the problem of the tortoise being endangered?

• They are being put into rehabilitation centers.
• Beaches are closed for tortoises laying eggs.
• Fishing nets are easier for sea turtles to get out of.
