What is my research topic? What are some keywords I used to research
Colonialism in Africa?
- My research topic is Colonialism in Africa.
- Some keywords I used to to help me research are Colonialism, Africa, and
Great Britain.
What does Colonialism mean? What is the definition or description of
Colonialism?
- Colonialism means that one country or place took over another country so
now the country that has been taken over loses control of its people and
resources.
- An example is Great Britain took over part of Africa and its
people and resources.
- The definition to Colonialism is the control or governing influence of a
nation over a dependent country, territory, or people.
- Colonialism also
means the state of being colonial, or an idea custom or practice peculiar to
a colony.
- Also colonialism means that a country or person is taking over
another country or person.
- There are many more different definitions' of
colonialism in the world these are only a few of them.
Why is Colonialism important in Africa?
- Colonialism is important in Africa because Great Britain took over much
of Africa a while back and that had a great impact on Africa.
- Today there
are people that are trying to get rid of all colonialism in Africa.
- An
example would be the Organization of African Unity (AOU) was formed to
promote unity and solidarity in Africa in the year 1963.
- Then in 1991 the AOU adopted a treaty to establish the African Economic Community.
- Also
colonialism is important in Africa because some people there don't mind
colonialism and just ignore it other people don't like colonialism at all
and want nothing to do with it.
Why is colonialism important in Africa?
- Colonialism is important in Africa because a Great Britain took
over much of Africa in the years of 1957-1962 and took away a lot of
Africans freedom.
- Africans have wanted to unite their continent for a long time into a
United States of Africa and be a united country.
- Many Africans have also wanted to change the fact that many European
countries took over much of Africa and changed so many things.
- Some Africans don't mind that European countries took over so much of
Africa and think it was a good thing to happen that it taught Africa
something.
- They think that it though Africans about other countries and cultures
around the world even though many Africans had to go through slavery.
How does Colonialism affect the people who live in Africa?
- One way that colonialism has affected the people who live in Africa is
by when France took over part of Africa the people started selling
blacks as slaves.
- Also colonialism affected Africa by making the many Africans change the
way they live and govern themselves.
- Some of Africa has divided themselves into groups because of
colonialism.
- The 3 major groups are the Indigenous people, the Americo-Liberians and
the Black African immigrants.
- This are only some of the ways that colonialism has affected the people
who live in Africa.
What does the rest of the world (Not Africans) think about
colonialism? What is the global reaction to colonialism?
- What the rest of the world thinks about colonialism depends on who you
ask because people don't always have the same thoughts.
- What some of the world thinks about colonialism is that it is not good
and that they regret it ever happened.
- Then what some other people think about colonialism is that it's okay it
did not affect them so they don't really care it happened but it's over now.
- There are also the people who think that colonialism is good it helps
people in many ways.
- This are most of the things that the rest of the world thinks about
colonialism in Africa.
What can be done to help the problem of colonialism? What is
being done to correct colonialism? What is being done to correct colonialism?
- What can be done to help the problem of colonialism is countries can
stay on their own land.
- Also countries should stay in their limits and stop trying to make their
countries bigger.
- This would help the problem of colonialism in Africa and many more
places.
- Also what is being done to correct colonialism is countries like Great
Britain and France are making sure that errors they made are being taken care
of.
- These are only some of the things that are being done to help correct
colonialism.
What is my personal opinion on colonialism? How do I feel and
react about colonialism?
- What I think about colonialism is that countries should be able to
govern themselves.
- Also I think that colonialism is wrong and that it should not happen at
all.
- The way I react about colonialism is I don't like it I think that
it should have never started.
- I also think that if Europe had stayed away from Africa it would be a
better place today.
- I think this because it would probably have more tribes then today.
