What is my research topic? What are some keywords I used to research

• My research topic is poverty in Africa.
• Some keywords I used to help me were: Africa, poverty, population, starvation, low  income in Africa, hunger, etc.

What does poverty mean? What's its definition?

•   Poverty is the lack of enough income & resources to live adequately by community standards.

Why is poverty important to Africa?

• It is important because it causes the population to decrease.
• The population decreases because poverty is caused by low income , so that if you don't have enough money to buy food or shelter.
• Since you don't have shelter or food will not be able to live very long.
• Poverty  is also important because it affects all ages not just one age.
• It also does not just effect one sex but both sexes, and family's too.

Why is poverty  a problem in Africa?

• Poverty is an issue because many things like droughts & low incomes in Africa cause poverty.
• So poverty so poverty results in death and starvation because of things like that.
• Poverty is also an issue because it can cause crime, illness, illiteracy, and more poverty.
• Poverty is also an issue because so many people are and will be living on the street homeless.
• It is also an issue because many people may get hurt since sometimes poverty results in crime.

How does poverty affect the people who live in Africa?

• It effects the people who live in Africa because that is what poverty has to do with.
• Since poverty is the lack of enough income to live a plentiful life people end up homeless because they can not afford a home.
• They starve because they cant afford food or water.
• They become ill because they cant afford hospitalization or medication.
• They will have debt because they can not afford taxes.

What does the rest of the world (not Africans) think about poverty? What is the global reaction to poverty?

• Most of the world thinks it is devastating
• They also think it is a very important issue to focus on.
• Most people feel sorry or have pity for people in Africa who which lives in poverty.
• The global reaction to poverty is be shocked or surprised when they see people in Africa living with it.
• people also may get very emotional when around it too.

What can be done to help the problem of poverty? What is being done to correct it?

• It is and can be helped or be corrected by eradicate poverty through economic development.
• So that individuals are able to make enough income so that they can live their life adequately.
• But the alternatives to development  are welfare and charity.
• For example with charity instead of throwing away clothes when they  do not fit any more give them to a charity organization.
• Or people can just give money and food.

What is my personal opinion on poverty. How do I react and feel about it?

• My personal opinion on poverty in Africa is very strong.
• I think it is not right to just let people go through life in poverty.
• People should help more to stop poverty from spreading.
• People should give just a little more support to the issue of poverty in Africa
• There are thousands of young kids living on the streets hungry with no food, shelter, or even parents.
• If I could have the chance to help out I would.
