What does colonialism mean? What is a description of Colonialism

Colonialism means to divide into colonies.
A description of Colonialism is: The Europeans colonized Africa. America was colonized by the British. The Africans had to deal with colonialism for quite a while.

Why is Colonialism important in Africa?

Its important because it helps us know that it was a a hard couple of years. It also helps us with problem solving, and how not to start a global problem. For example when Europe took over Africa that can be solved by, Europe could have invited Africa to the Berlin Conference. Maybe if Europe invited Africa the could have made a deal on how long Europe could stay in their country and how many mineral items the could have a day.

Why is Colonialism a problem or issue in Africa?

Its a problem because Europe took over Africa with out any warning. Europe forcibly took over African government and started making their own rules. The Europeans took natural recourses without any permission. As far as Europe was concerned there was no reason to leave. Africans rebelled and got killed as a result of their actions.

How does colonialism effect people who live in Africa today?

It made them miserable they had almost no hope but each other.
They basically got out ruled in their own countries.
They now had to work hard to get food they sometimes even had to go to desperate measures.
Now all because the colonialism in the 1400's Africa got messed up.
Colonialism destroyed rituals and traditions.

What does the rest of the world think of colonialism?

They think that tradition is complex.
Discourse is when people continually reinterpreted in the past and context.
Also they think that the Africans were treated horribly.
Europe had no reason to go to Africa and take over the government,
It was a bad state of time in which the Europeans made Africans work for them in their own country.

What can be done to help the problem of colonialism?

Nothing can be done to help colonialism.
Its in the past, its history colonialism was a bad way for Europe to get its rep.
But we might be able to help them be educated by donating a dollar from the united Christian found.
A dollar can help them with so much, it can get them through school and help educate others.
Hopefully if everyone can help Africa will become a better and stronger continent.

What is my opinion about colonialism?

I think Europe had a bad idea about invading Africa.
Maybe if Europe asked Africa they could compromise on what Europe could take in a day.
