Text Box: Welcome Back:  Glad to have you all here in sixth grade science.  We are looking forward to a great year.
  Current Notes:   
Second 9 week reporting period began on Monday, October 27th.  It will go through Thursday, January 15th
Progress Reports: Should be signed and returned to school the next day.
    Science Progress Report - Goes home on Wednesday, November 9th.
    Sixth Grade Progress Report (all classes) - Scheduled to go home on Wednesday, November 9th.
Science Test on "The Water Planet":  Will be on Friday, November 21st.  This will be the first test for the second nine weeks.
Study Initial Ignitions taken since last test.

Study Textbook pages: 396 - 415.
Study Revised Jeopardy Water Review Game.

TEKS — Texas Essential Knowledge and Skills for Science.  This is what Texas says our children should know (as a minimum) about science each year of their academic life.

RIVER PICTURE PAGE

Steps:

  1. Open up River Picture Page in  MS Word.

  2. Type in your name/date/period.

  3. Open River Picture resource page.

  4. Find a picture for each of the nine structures.  Copy, paste and resize to fit the River Picture Page.

  5. Type in a brief description of each of the river vocabulary words.

1) Brief research on The Water Cycle

 

2) Design slide show story about a water droplet as it goes through the water cycle.   

 

NOTE:  This is a creative writing in the content area activity.
