Monday:

Have your child take a practice spelling test to see which words are the hardest for him/her.  Please watch that your child is using lowercase letters unless a capital is needed.  Also, check for correct letter formations.  You DO NOT need to return this practice test.

Math, Science or Social Studies paper—due Tuesday unless noted otherwise.

Read for 10-15 minutes and fill in reading log—watch for reading log—it will come home soon.

Tuesday: 

Begin spelling sentences.  Your child must use each spelling word in a sentence.  They may combine two-three spelling words in one sentence.  Students need to put a BOX around the spelling words within the sentence.  Please remind your child about using a capital at the beginning of his/her sentence and using end punctuation. 

Read for 10-15 minutes and fill in reading log

Wednesday: 

Work on spelling sentences-if needed.  Sentences due TOMORROW.

Read for 10-15 minutes and fill in reading log

Thursday: 

Practice for your spelling test.

Read for 10-15 minutes and fill in reading log/count the number of minutes read for the week

Friday-Sunday

Read, read, read and document your “Cuddle up with a BEARY good book” minutes

**Occasionally your child may also bring home work to finish that wasn’t completed during the day at school or an extra homework assignment for a class project or guided reading group project
