Dyslexia Parent Network Part of the GISD Community Forum Tuesday, November 17th Georgetown High School Annex 6:30-6:50 PM—Free Pizza and drinks in cafeteria 7:00-8:00 PM--Dyslexia Parent Network Meeting Program: Part 2: “Put Yourself in the Shoes of a Person with Dyslexia” a Dyslexia Simulation The continuation of this simulation with additional activities is designed to increase awareness of the difficulties and frustrations that people with dyslexia encounter daily. Participation in this experience will lead to greater empathy and understanding and also provide insight into working more effectively with individuals with dyslexia. Simulation participants will rotate among three new learning stations that simulate various language-related tasks similar to those encountered in the classroom and workplace. Take advantage of this opportunity to network and learn from other parents and teachers Supervised childcare is available at no cost.
