Williams Drive Update 10-23-09

 

Notes:

·       Please use caution when driving through work zones- 45 mph Thank you

·       Upon completion, Williams Drive will have 4 lanes, a center turn lane and 10’ shoulders on both sides of the roadway.

·       Rain has slowed progress on some work items in the past few weeks 

Progress on last week’s schedule:   

·       Waterline crew installed waterline along South Right of Way

·       Worked on waterline bore crossing at Lakewood Drive South-west

·       Worked on returning waterline easement to original condition

·       Prepared subgrade from FM 3405 to Woodland Park along north right of way

·       Continued work on Traffic Signals at Woodlake and Del Webb intersections

·       Continue to transfer water services from old to new waterline working east to Sedro

Work scheduled for this week:

·       Waterline crew will continue waterline installation along South Right of Way

Rocksaws excavating ahead of installation various locations

·       Work on waterline bore crossings:  Woodlake

·       Work to return waterline easement to original condition

·       Install new storm sewer pipe across Old Oak.  After the new pipe is installed, the ditchlines will be cut to the final design

Subgrade preparation to continue from FM 3405 working along both sides of the roadway

·       Continue work on Traffic Signals Foundations at Del Webb, Woodlake intersections        

General Notes:  

·       During the transfer of water services from the old to the new waterline, the water will need to be shut off for about 30 minutes for residential and small business customers.  Customers will be notified by the contractor, J C Evans, when this occurs.  Water service switches for larger customers will be done at night and the customers will be notified by Chisholm Trail.

·       Several organizations located along Williams Drive within the project limits are having holiday activities so drive with care

·       J C Evans is working on Sundays to take advantage of dry conditions whenever possible

Utility Update

·       PEC - is substantially complete. PEC is currently preparing documents for landowner’s signature. As soon as the documents are signed the two poles will be installed.

·       Suddenlink - is substantially complete.  They are waiting on PEC to finalize their relocation efforts and Verizon to removing their existing facilities prior to completing their relocation efforts from Jim Hogg to FM 3405.

·       Verizon - has begun to remove their existing facilities from Wildwood to Sedro Trail. The remainder of Verizon's relocation work continues to be drastically effected by the weather.

·       Atmos - Complete
