Ford’s Recycling
Program
Help the environment and earn money for Jo Ann Ford
Elementary School by sending your recyclables to school. Ford Elementary is
currently recycling the following items: all
paper products (except cardboard, cereal boxes or any other packaging), cell
phones, and empty ink cartridges. These items all help earn money for our school simply through your
donation of the item. You can drop off ink cartridges and cell phones in the
labeled can located in the school cafeteria. If you or your business would like
to sponsor a collection box for ink cartridges please contact Terrie Resler at 869-7295
or email her at reslertm@hotmail.com. We
will provide a collection box and will pick up all donated items.
Our school has done a
great job at raising awareness by doing our paper drives every month and
getting the students excited about the environment. For the upcoming months we
would like everyone to continue using the paper bins MORE THAN EVER. So instead
of saving paper for a month, just bring it in regularly and deposit it into the
Paper Retrievers. We can produce even more for our school by using our bins
regularly by telling friends and neighbors and turning in every bit of paper we
find! When we pile it up ALL THE TIME, we can make our monthly goal of 6 tons
if we all work together. That means FILLING BOTH BINS every week. We will award
ALL the students extra recess time by meeting our goals, and more importantly
we are educating the importance of reusing, recycling, and preserving our
natural resources by saving landfill space. The successful schools in this
program have entire communities and businesses using their bins.
Bag-A-Week
If each of our 500+ students brings in just one bag of paper to recycle
in a paper sack each week, our program would be off the charts!

So please spread the word and let’s all do our part to
STEP UP THE RECYCLING AT FORD!
