Homework
Each week we have homework. Please use the following information to
help your child complete these assignments at home. Your help is greatly
appreciated!
Monday:
Give your child a practice spelling test on the new list of words received
today. You do not need to return this practice test.
Complete the Math page and return to school tomorrow.
Read for 10-15 minutes and record on the Launch into Literacy reading log.
Tuesday:
Students are to use each spelling word in a sentence. Please remind
them to underline each spelling word. (Several spelling words can be
combined in a sentence.) Please help your child remember to begin each
sentence with a capital letter, use proper spacing between words, and put ending
punctuation. These sentences are due on Thursday.
Read for 10-15 minutes and record on the reading log.
Wednesday:
Finish the spelling sentences assignment. Return tomorrow.
Read for 10-15 minutes and record on the reading log.
Thursday:
Practice for the spelling test tomorrow.
Read for 10-15 minutes and record on the reading log.
Weekend:
No assigned homework but reading each day is a good goal. Remember to
record all minutes read on the reading log.
