Welcome to Mrs. Gratz's home page!   I am looking forward to an exciting year at Frost! My goal as an art teacher is to create a supportive, trusting and noncompetitive environment for children to be creative in. I will introduce a wide variety of materials for the children to explore when they come to art class every week.

The Totem Poles are up!

The first grade scholars watched a video about totem poles made by the Tlingit and Ojibwe Native American tribes. They had to think about which Native American animal best represented their personality. Next, they created an animal self-portrait using symmetry to make designs. Finally, they painted their poles and the animals were glued down by which first grade “tribe” the students belong to. Take a look at the finished product!
