Eulogy Speech (click for copy of the assignment and grading rubric)

Due March 31 A day

        April 1 B day

Example Eulogy to Cartoon Character Fred Flinstone given by his best friend Barney Rubble:

“Fred Flintstone was a good father. He took Peebles to the
quarry to roll rocks every Saturday. Fred was a good husband.
He brought home the stegosaurus and took Wilma to the Cave
Drive-In on Friday nights. Fred Flinstone was a good friend. He
bowled with me every Tuesday for 15 years and only complained
when he lost - which was every time. Fred was a good employee.
He put in his eight, dug more dirt, moved more boulders, and
ate more doughnuts than any man in Bedrock. We have lost a
classic, but his memories will live in our hearts. Yaba-daba-do!!!”

Tell about a time when you experienced or witnessed cultural discrimination. Write a one page paper about your opinions and thoughts.  Reflect on the videos and articles discussed in class.
