Georgetown High School Mission Statement

Georgetown High School 's mission, with the involvement of the entire school community, is to promote a positive environment for all students to develop academically and socially as responsible citizens in a changing society.

WELCOME TO GEORGETOWN HIGH SCHOOL

Georgetown High School is a school with outstanding traditions in academics and activities. GHS is a comprehensive high school that has been developed by numerous students, parents, teachers, community members and administrators who strive for excellence through partnerships.  The entire faculty and staff of GHS are committed to helping students succeed.  GHS is truly a school that cares about the choices students make and about the way they will use their abilities to meet their needs in the future.

I strongly encourage you to take advantage of the many school activities, clubs and organizations available to you.  It is very important for each of you to be involved in at least one student organization, possible more.  They are designed to help students become well-rounded, contributing citizens of the school as well as the community. Involve yourself in campus life.  Remember, the return on any investment is proportional to your leveraged investment.

Though academics will always be our first priority, providing students and faculty with a safe, caring environment is a non-negotiable.  Each of you will play a major role in making this occur.  I wish you the best of everything this year at GHS and hope it will be your most successful year ever.
