The EAGLE LOCKER is a program developed by our student-athletes, student trainers, physical education students, and teen leadership students to bring awareness and assistance to the homeless student population in the Georgetown Independent School District.  The EAGLE LOCKER students work together to collect supplies for these homeless students so they may have access to some of the basic necessities that all students should have available to them.  The EAGLE LOCKER program collects these supplies through various fundraisers and athletic events.

Currently in GISD there have been approximately 200 students that have been identified as homeless.  To learn more information about what classifies a student as homeless please click here.  The EAGLE LOCKER program combines the efforts of the school district, as well as the community, to assist these students in obtaining basic necessities.  To find a list of these basic needs that you can donate please click here.

The EAGLE LOCKER has currently established supplies at the Ninth Grade Center as well as Georgetown High School.  We would like to keep these supplies stocked year round, so anytime of the year is a good time to donate.  The EAGLE LOCKER program has held only a couple of fundraiser drives to amazing success.  There was approximately $1,700 raised in the Mason Crosby autographed Green Bay Packers jersey raffle!  Many items were also donated at the door as fans entered to watch the basketball game.

The EAGLE LOCKER program is currently working closely with all athletic teams to establish dates that will be EAGLE LOCKER nights at their games so you can bring items to donate.  For those dates you can check our calendar by clicking here or look at our upcoming events by clicking here.
