Latin I - Textbook:  Cambridge Latin Course, Unit I

Latin I is a year long single-blocked class.  Our focus will be learning to read the literature of  ancient Roman authors by studying the grammar and vocabulary found in our text book.

Homework:  will be assigned every class meeting and will usually be from the workbook accompanying each chapter.  Homework and daily in-class work will account for 25% of your average.

Tests/Quizzes:  Tests account for 75% of your average.  Quizzes will be frequent and will be counted as 1/2 of a test grade.  We will have at least 3 tests during each 9-week period and possibly a test over the notebook kept in Latin class.  Get your Latin Buddies lined up because you are responsible for tests/quizzes that happen to occur the next class period!

Absences/Makeup Work:  students are solely responsible for obtaining all makeup work either before or after school.  I will be available each day both before and after school.  On A days, however, I am returning to the Annex from the  Ninth Grade Campus and it may take until 4:30 or so for me to arrive in my room!
