Diana was born in Saigon, Vietnam and raised in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  She attended Southside High School and graduated in 1988.  She became interested in the athletic training field during her freshman year at the University of Arkansas, Ft. Smith after suffering several injuries as a scholarship cheerleader.  Between classes and cheerleading, she became the student athletic trainer for the men's and women's basketball team and the baseball team.  Her education continued at Texas State University (formerly Southwest Texas State University) in San Marcos, Texas.  At that time, only two universities in the state of Texas were accredited with a curriculum based athletic training program.  She received a Bachelor's degree in the Spring of 1994 in Exercise and Sports Science, with a major in Athletic Training.  After successful completion of her secondary teaching certification and passing her Texas licensure exam for Athletic Training, she was employed at Southwest High School in San Antonio, Texas.  Serving two years at Southwest High School, Diana went on to work at Tomball High School in Tomball, Texas for the next four years.  In the fall of 2000, Diana became the first assistant athletic trainer at Georgetown High School.  She was the first female head athletic trainer at Georgetown High School.  She has been employed at GHS for the past eight years.  Diana is a member of NATA, SWATA, and TSATA.  She serves as co-chair for the SWATA Registration Committee and on the NATA Registration Committee.  She is a committee member of the WATC (Women in Athletic Training Committee) for SWATA. She received the "James Dodson New Horizon Award" in 2004 from SWATA and has been nominated for the "Bobby Gunn Unsung Hero Award" in 2005 and 2006.  During her spare time, Diana works on her committee responsibilities, enjoys spending time with family and friends, and training her Papillon, Jax. 

 

 

Chad Hennessey (Mr. H)

Chad was born and raised in Odessa, TX.  He served two years as a Student Athletic Trainer at Odessa High School ('96) working with both the football and boys basketball teams.  He attended Abilene Christian University ('00) and worked as a Student Athletic Trainer with the football and women's softball teams.  While there he received his degree in Exercise and Sports Sciences.  After graduation he worked one year as the Head Athletic Trainer at Crane High School in Crane, TX.  He then went back to ACU for one year as a Graduate Assistant Athletic Trainer and assisted again with the football and women's softball teams.  After being back with ACU for one year, he moved to the University of Miami (FL) ('04) where he obtained his Master's degree in Education with an emphasis in Sports Medicine.  While with the Hurricanes, he worked with the football, baseball, and women's rowing teams.  After leaving Miami, Chad accepted a job as an Assistant Athletic Trainer with the New Orleans Saints of the National Football League.  He served there for two seasons before moving to Georgetown.  He is currently in his third year as an Athletic Trainer at Georgetown High School.  Chad is married to Jamie Hennessey who works as a Physical Therapist with Select Physical Therapy and they recently welcomed their first child, Caleb Patrick Hennessey.
