Welcome to Georgetown ISD, a school district of excellence! It is my distinct pleasure to serve as Superintendent of the Georgetown Independent School District. This is a great community to live in and a great community for our children. Just as our community has a rich heritage, Georgetown ISD has a proud tradition of providing students with a quality education.
This is an exciting time to be a part of Georgetown ISD. We have much to celebrate, thanks to our hard working teachers, staff, students, parents, and community. At the same time, our challenge is to build upon our previous success and go to the next level by focusing on bringing out the best in every student, every day and working on our district’s seven goals:
- Goal 1: Exemplary Performance
- Goal 2: Prepared Graduates
- Goal 3: Quality Staff
- Goal 4: Quality Learning Environments & Facilities
- Goal 5: Positive Perceptions, Relationships, and Collaboration
- Goal 6: Fiscal Accountability & Responsibility
- Goal 7: Organizational and Operational Effectiveness
We are also looking to our future as a growing school district and community. Over the next several months we will be working with our entire community as we look at the use of our current facilities, our projected growth trends, our current facility needs, and what will be needed to house our children in the future. We would invite you to become active participants in these important dialogue opportunities.
I look forward to working with you!
Sincerely,
Dr. Abbe Boring
