Extended Care Programs :: Eagle Wings Child Development Center
The
Eagle Wings Child Development Center provides high-quality care
for the children of GISD employees and students during regular
school days. The Center's staff includes seven lead teachers,
all with Child Development Associate credentials or higher from
the Council for Early Childhood Professional Education, and five
teacher aides who assist in small group classrooms. Lead
teachers develop lesson plans and schedules each week for their
classes that help children develop language, thinking, and motor
skills.
Hours of Operation
Eagle Wings provides care from 7:00 AM to 5:00 PM during the 175 instructional days of the GISD calendar. Eagle Wings is CLOSED for teacher training and in-service on all GISD in-service and teacher comp days. Please see the GISD District Calendar for the 175 instructional day schedule.
Enrollment
The Eagle Wings program provides care only to children from ages 0 to pre-school age of GISD employees and students. The children of students have first priority for available spaces. There is generally a waiting list for GISD employees who wish to enroll their children. To place your child on the Eagle Wings waiting list, please print and complete the Waiting List Application and return it the address shown below.
All parents whose children have been accepted into the program must complete the Enrollment Information form and have their pediatrician complete and sign the Physician's Health Statement before their child may enroll in the program. Verification of current, up-to-date immunizations is also required.
Tuition & Fees
The following are the Tuition Rates for 2006-2007 for children of GISD employees. GISD students are not charged for tuition.

*The monthly rate is the amount of the GISD payroll deduction for 10 months (August through May).
