Experience

Mrs. Foss has spent her entire GISD career at Cooper Elementary.  In 1999, she was employed as an instructional specialist there, and became the assistant principal in 2000.  She has been the principal at Cooper since 2001.  Her other experience includes 15 years in education, teaching in Wisconsin, Connecticut, and Texas. She taugh English and journalism in high school and middle school, as well as special education and regular education at the elementary level.  She moved to Texas in 1993, and taught at Pasemann Elementary in Taylor before coming in GISD in 1999.
Interests
Mrs. Foss and her husband Gordon live in Round Rock, which has been their home since moving to Texas from Connecticut in 1993.  Together, they have four very active children: Helle, 17; Berit, 16; Kari, 15; and John Ole, 10.  They are very involved in church, school, soccer, band, baseball, and Boy Scouts.  Mrs. Foss enjoys being outdoors, reading, socializing with friends, and cheering on her kids in their many activities.  Her favorite enjoyment is finding quiet time with her husband.
