Experience

Mr. Cantu has been with the district for over 14 years. He has been the principal at Tippit/Georgetown Junior High since 1992, and was the assistant principal from 1989-1992. Prior to coming to GISD, he served as a teacher and coach at Woodsboro Junior High and Refugio Middle School, as assistant principal at Jones High School, as a counselor at Refugio Middle School, and as a school board member in Refugio.
Interests
Mr. Cantu is married to Rosanne Cantu, a teacher at Georgetown High School. They have a daugher and a son who serves as a border patrolman in Laredo, Texas.
