Board of Trustees Names Superintendent Finalist
On Wednesday, October 10th, the Georgetown ISD Board of Trustees voted to name Abbe Boring as lone finalist for the position of superintendent/CEO. Dr. Boring has served as superintendent, Bartow County Schools, Georgia public schools and deputy superintendent for instruction, Birmingham City Schools, Alabama public schools. She previously served Texas public schools in the Wilmer-Hutchins ISD as assistant superintendent and in Houston ISD as district executive director--south district, interim district superintendent--south district, principal, assistant principal, curriculum writer, and teacher.
