2008-2009 Pre-K and Kindergarten Round-Up May 7th
Pre-Kindergarten and Kindergarten Roundup will be held on Wednesday, May 7, from 2:00PM until 6:30PM at Carver, Ford, Frost, Purl, Village and Cooper Elementaries. Registration for students who will attend the Tenth Elementary that will open this fall will be conducted at Williams Elementary.
Children who will be five years old on or before September 1, 2008, are eligible to enroll in Kindergarten.
To be eligible to enroll for Pre-Kindergarten, children must be four years old on or before September 1, 2008. Pre-Kindergarten students must also meet at least one of the following criteria: qualifies for free or reduced lunch program, speaks a home language other than English, has a parent on active-duty military status, is considered homeless, or is in foster care.
Parents should bring the child’s birth certificate, current immunization records, proof of parent’s residence in the Georgetown School District such as a current utility bill or lease agreement, the child’s social security card, and if applicable proof of active-duty military status.
At Roundup, parents will receive information about the District’s pre-kindergarten and kindergarten programs including information specific to the individual campus to prepare children for a positive transition to public school. Early registration assists the District in determining enrollments, assigning staff, and meeting individual school needs.

Classes for the 2008-2009 school year will begin on Monday, August 25.
