First Confirmed Case of Flu in GISD

We have the first confirmed flu case in Georgetown ISD.  It is already time to get your Flumist or flu shot.

The Williamson County and Cities Health District (WCCHD) has a website full of information regarding locations and tips for getting yourself & your family immunized.

Flu shots are available at all four WCCHD clinic sites for children aged 6 months to 18 years who are uninsured or underinsured (includes Medicaid/CHIP, has insurance that does not pay for vaccines, or have a large deductible or co-pay the family cannot meet). The cost is based on income and is no more than $10.00 per child.  No child will be denied if a family is unable to pay.

Other resources include:
CVS Pharmacy
HEB
Walgreens
RediClinics
Rapid Care Clinics
Minute Clinics
Passport Health
Urgent and Family Care at Avery Ranch

If you need assistance locating resources call 1-800-890-6296.  Your school nurse can also answer questions.
