2009-2010

My name is Heather Brock.  I was born and raised in Austin, Texas!  I attended high school in Austin and college at Southwest Texas in San Marcos.  I received a business communication degree and worked in the legal and advertising fields for several years.  I realized I was on the wrong path and went back for my teaching credentials.  I have been at McCoy ever since....and happier than ever for the past 10 years!

My husband's name is Dylan.  He also graduated from Southwest Texas with a master's.  He created software manuals for many years.  He too, decided on a career path change.  Dylan received his Chemical Dependency Counseling License and is now in practice.

Snack Time

Scholars are welcome to bring water bottles to school each day.  We will be having a snack daily that will need to be brought by your child.  I will be providing water bottles and a snack on the first day of school.  It will be your child's responsibility to remember to bring their own snack everyday if they want one.    Snacks need to be healthy.....fruit, crackers, granola bars.....no candy or lots of sugar please!

Some things I like...

All bright colors....pink, purple, lime green and turquoise.

Gardening and working in the yard relaxes me.

I love plants, eating out, Sonic UN-Sweet Teas, AND.....

  SHOPPING is my favorite!!!!

But, most importantly,  I value teaching and making a difference!

I am always open for donations to our classroom.  I love items for the treasure box, books and child magazines  for our class library, magazines to cut up, etc...  I will also be sending notices home if we need things for projects.  Stay tuned.....
