Classroom Procedures

1.      Homework

a.      Scholar should have a maximum of 60 minutes/night of homework (Monday-Thursday).

b.     If it consistently takes more time, please let me know.

c.      Each night scholars will have the following assignments:

·        Spelling Contract

·        Reading

·        Math

·        Other assignments will be given on occasion

2.     Conduct Card

a.      Conduct cards will be given each Monday.

b.     They will be taken up the following Monday

c.      The conduct card will be sent home in the Tuesday folder for you to sign and return

d.     If a conduct card is lost, it will result in an N for the week.  (If it is found and returned, the grade can be changed later.)

e.     Conduct marks are only given after verbal warnings and/or redirection through the questioning procedure.  (discussed in Important Reminder section of this website)..

3.     Tuesday Folders

a.      Tuesday folders will go home each Tuesday with the following items:

·        Work completed during the week

·        Class, school, and PTA newsletters

·        Weekly conduct card

·        Progress reports (every 3 weeks)

b.     If you have questions or comments, please use the comment space provided or send a note.

c.      Folders should be signed and returned on Wednesday.

4.     Assignment Books

a.      Assignments will be posted on the board daily.

b.     Scholars will write assignments in the book every day (Monday-Thursday).

c.      I will stamp/initial daily to make sure all assignments are written.

d.     Please sign it each night to make sure assignments are complete.

e.     This is also a great place to communicate with me, as I check it daily.
