Our Principals

Mr. Dominguez, Principal:

I was appointed by the school board on July 20th. The bulk of my principal experience has been at the middle school setting, with the youngest students that I’ve worked with being 6th graders. As a teacher I taught government and economics to seniors in high school (also taught freshman in college at Southwest Texas State, teaching the introductory political science classes). What I’ve learned about teaching and working with students at the various levels is that they have lots in common; they all want to be heard, understood, cared for, and appreciated. These are all factors that I am eager to convey, and that I will expect our teachers to understand as well.

Mrs. Jirasek, Assistant Principal:

It’s exciting to be at McCoy! What a great group of teachers, students and parents! My 22 years of experience as a teacher and principal have been at all grade levels, P-12. Each level is unique and rewarding, and I will do all I can to make this a successful year for each students at McCoy Elementary.

I believe in life long learning. I have a B.S. in Education with a major in business, a M.S. in Occupational Education and am currently pursuing a doctorate in educational leadership.

Family is a priority in my life. My husband, Jim, and I have three children ages 21, 19 and 17. Time with our family brings us joy. Children grow up so quickly, so I encourage you to enjoy every minute.
